BLAST OFF - At Last!

It's Sarah Ann again.

Hooray! Today after church, we're leaving for our big summer trip. We're going to start out  by driving four and half hours to Turkey Swamp Family Campground. Isn't that a funny name? It's not going to be boring though because we're going to listen to Pippi Longstocking on tape as we drive. At Turkey Swamp Family Campground, we're going to meet our cousins. My dad isn't going to be there.  Turkey Swamp Family Campground is kind of the middle of nowhere in New Jersey. We just need somewhere to sleep on our way to Valley Forge the next day. Since we have a "pop", we have to find a campground. We are hoping to get there about 6:30 or 7 at night. That will give us time to set up the pop. We're going to eat dinner in the car.

On Monday morning, we get to eat the yummiest thing in the whole entire world for breakfast. We're going to eat pancakes with strawberries and lots of whipped cream on top.

My grandpa has been to 49 states in the US. The only state he hasn't been to is North Dakota. When we're with him this summer, we're all going to go to North Dakota. Wahoo!

Do you want to know how many states I have been to? I'll list them here for you: Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, California, Texas, Washington, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Delaware. That's a total of 40. This summer I will add North Dakota, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and maybe the edge of Michigan.

How many states have you been to?

  1. Sarah Ann, You've covered more states than I have (I think)!

The geo-taggins seems to be working if you are in New Jersey by 2 pm Sunday when I am reading this.

    Safe travels!

  4. Well you have all of us beat, but I see a few that you need to visit--Oregon and Washington mostly. Maybe they are on your road trip list for next year?
